God Is WITH People… And Always Has Been.

God is WITH people.  And always has been.  He was with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.  He was with Moses at the burning bush.  He was with Joseph in prison.  He was with Joshua at Jericho.  He was with David facing Goliath.  He was with Job in his pain.  He was with Jonah in the middle of the ocean.

It doesn’t matter where people have been or what they’ve been doing.  God has always been with them.  

God said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  God will always be with them.

God is WITH people.  And because God is WITH people, His people are sent to be WITH people.  It’s not enough to build a beautiful building and hold heart-warming services behind closed doors.  It’s not enough to just fellowship with people who look and think and act like you.  The Church doesn’t serve itself, it exists to be with an unchurched culture.  The Church only grows when it loves and interacts with its city.  The Church only thrives when it builds bridges to be with its community.

The Church is WITH people.  All people…  Poor people who can’t pay their bills.  Rich people who can pay but would rather not.  Self-centered people who feel entitled to a handout.  Sick people who need someone to love them.  Elderly people who need someone to talk to them.  Young people who need someone to mentor them.  The Church was created to be WITH everyone.
